About Us

Founded in October 2014 by two Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineers, ARMR Systems (Formerly Traumedex) develops hemorrhage control systems designed to increase the survivability of traumatic battlefield injury in situations where advanced medical support is not immediately available.

1 out of 4 preventable military deaths among U.S. Troops are caused by non-compressible hemorrhage. These are wounds you can't put a traditional tourniquet on.

 

90% of preventable military death is due to hemorrhage. Soldiers don't have access to needed tools to stop bleeding fast enough and often die in transit to the forward operating surgical unit.

               Common Regions of Injury

Non-compressible junctional hemorrhage – traumatic bleeding in the groin, upper thigh, and axillary regions  is especially difficult to treat by current means due to complexity of the anatomy within these areas.

The human body has 5L of blood and rapid loss of 40% (2L) is fatal. On the battlefield, this can happen in as little as 2 minutes after traumatic injury to major arteries.

Early on, our team realized developing truly original and effective solution would require an equally original approach.

Chibueze has spent the past 5 years starting and leading a variety of entrepreneurial and nonprofit ventures. Through his past involvement in the Atlanta startup community he has garnered a strong network of physicians, engineers, investors, and entrepreneurs through his time collaborating with organizations such as the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance, Hypepotamus, & the Kaufman Foundation.

Yegor has experience with design and fabrication from his time as a Mechanical Engineering contractor, as well as several medical devices designed during his time working within Georgia Tech's Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics lab. His experiences lends him a strong engineering skill set, from bench top to the hands of physicians.
